About

Tag, you’re knit.

Inspired by Houston-based Knitta, CincinKnitti is a series of knitted artworks, wrapped around trees, telephone poles, car antennas and various other public objects in Greater Cincinnati. They’re designed to add a touch of color, texture, surprise and whimsy to the city and they’re all about adding a bit of the handmade and the personalized to the mass-produced world.

Like much street art, Cincinknits are impermanent. They’re buttoned or tied in place and, if so desired, can easily be removed. They’re like really considerate graffiti.
